90th Birthday Cake

My grandmother turned 90 last year so of course I volunteered to do the cake. This was a fun one and I tried all kinds of new things. I also realized I really want to take a class so I can actually learn how to do all the things I tried!

This was 6 layers or something like that. I don't know why I get so ambitious. But I did my first icing flower (please will someone come actually show me how to do it!), did some hand painting, and a little basic design work. And I realized that I hate putting any writing on cakes. I have horrible handwriting and need to invest in some sort of tool that helps me with that.




I wanted to remove that writing so bad but I had committed.
